Trefoil House

  • This site in central Northampton is currently occupied by a single storey Victorian building. it was acquired for £250,000 in 2006 by MRP.
  • The site context of taller buildings, including the adjacent eight-storey Park Inn Hotel, allowed MRP to obtain planning permission for a six-storey apartment block with a ground floor comprising office accommodation and under-croft parking. The site was commended by the planning committee for its design quality.
  • A top floor communal roof terrace offers residents views of the town and tthe apartments to the rear overlook the St Katherine's Square Memorial Garden and provide increased natural surveillance of this important public space.
  • The site was sold to Servite Housing in 2007 for mixed-tenure affordable housing. The sale price of £600,000 was 2.4x acquisition value.
